What do you find most fascinating/ challenging about the O&G industry?
The push for cutting-edge technologies—whether it’s improving equipment reliability, enhancing safety protocols, or advancing sustainability—aligns well with my passion for optimizing systems and driving business success.
What is your hobby and why?
I love racing my 2010 Corvette Grand Sport in autocross. Nothing gets the blood pumping, and the mind focused like rocketing through a racetrack and trying not to crash. It rewards precision, focus, and determination in an exhilarating package.
Have you had a mentor in the industry and what valuable lesson / catch phrase has that person passed to you.
Yes, I’ve had a mentor who taught me a valuable lesson: "Focus on solving the root cause, not just the symptoms." This mindset has guided me in tackling challenges effectively and creating sustainable solutions, whether in manufacturing processes or team dynamics. They also emphasized the importance of building trust and empowering people, which has been key to fostering accountability and innovation.
What do you enjoy most about your job and what advice to you have for others?
I’m passionate about optimizing. Whether it’s processes, teams, company finances, my car—it doesn’t matter. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than setting up processes to run on their own and seeing people work together to achieve goals.
How long have you been with EPG and what brings you back year after year?
This marks my 6th year of listening to the latest updates in the industry and networking with some of the most intelligent individuals I’ve ever met.
