A bit about Kelli Robinson
What do you find most fascinating/ challenging about the O&G industry?
I have worked in the O&G industry since 1998 and one thing that is consistent is every day brings its own challenges and rewards. People often associate the O&G industry to the gas we use in our cars but what is fascinating is the everyday use in our homes that are made from polymers.  

What is your hobby and why?
Traveling with my family! We usually have 1 to 2 cruises booked every year. In between cruises I enjoy watching my 15 year old son play baseball. If we aren’t at a ballpark watching him play, we take time to travel to other MLB parks. So far, we have been lucky enough attend games at Wrigley Field, Rate Field, Citi Field, Fenway Park, Yankee Stadium, Busch Stadium, Globe Life Field and of course many games at Daikin Park (still not use to calling it that!).

Have you had a mentor in the industry, and what valuable lesson/catch phrase has that person passed to you?
I have had some wonderful mentors over my career, especially here at CDI Products. One catch phrase I will always take with me came from our VP of Operations,  “every RFQ and PO should be considered as a gift”. I hear this in my head daily.

What do you enjoy most about your job, and what advice to you have for others?
I enjoy helping customers solve their problems from a new seal design to new material recommendations. It’s rewarding to watch a customer’s success with the help from CDI Products. The best advice I can give is don’t just find your career but find your family as well. I love my CDI family and would not be the person I am without them next to me the last 15 years.

How long have you been with EPG, and what brings you back year after year?
I joined EPG in 2012 and served on the Board as Assistant Treasure, Treasure and currently as the Scholarship Chair for the last six years. The group has changed over the last few years with some of the original members recently retiring but one thing that has stayed the same is the wonderful welcome to new members along with a dynamic of members involved from customers, competitors, and suppliers together in one room.
